Special Notes: |
This bookmatched set of three crotches comes from the outer portion of the log.Here the figure is wide and wavy turning 90 degrees to the normal grain pattern. The crotches are sound with no cracks, however there is a bit of ingrown bark at the base of the crotch. The attached flitches contain nice material. There are 3 knots which run through the middle of the flitches. The flitches have little gum content and small sapwood. |
