Here is some interesting wood with all vertical grain pieces.

This is a set of Red Oak is similar to set 215507A; it was pulled because the wood has white mold in the cracks of the grain.

The wood is solid and there's no soft rot, but the colors in the wood are darker than normal. Check out the quartersawn pieces, the fleck shows as dark stripes instead of light stripes.

Very cool and unique, and it has been surfaced on both faces to show the grain.
