Huge log with great potential for a large project! This extra-wide soft maple log offers logs of matching uniform wood that is practically defect-free. This log is completely bookmatched with the center pieces split to remove the pith. There are no large knots in this set, just a few center knots in the center pieces, basically this is one huge clear log. There are wide 100% white pieces which could make tops or panels, and very wide rift/qsawn pieces for rails/stiles/mouldings. This set could be used to make a couple pieces of perfectly matching furntiture for one room… great appearance. The only negative about this set is that some pieces have a little twist which would have to be delt with. If those pieces are cut to shorter panels then there wouldn't be a problem. |
