Fallen Trees |
Listed below is our current inventory of fallen trees.
Of special note -- because the processing of fallen trees is rather unique, some of the outstanding characteristics of this lumber are not commonly known. For certain weather and rot resistant species, the best conditioning techniques are long, slow, air drying....exactly the conditions found when a tree dies on the stump. The slow, unhurried drying process allows the wood to relax, the stresses come out, the colors homogenize and the structure naturally moderates. Under good conditions, the result is a very stable and beautifully color- blended wood product.
