This is one awesome set; has anyone ever seen Spalted Butternut before?
The figure and colors in this set are fantastic. There's light and dark tones overtop of the typical light tan of the butternut. A few wide boards are mostly clear, but the rest of the pieces have heavy wormholes and spalting.
Most of these pieces have been split to remove center cracks - that's why there are so many A and B pieces to each piece. Pieces 12A, 11A, 1, 2, and 3B have a crack across the board near the middle.
Great wood! The entire set has been surfaced on two sides to 7/8 thickness. |
