Special Notes:

Nice consistent figure in this bookmatched soft maple. There are a few defects in this log, but a lot of usable wood as well. Piece 2 has a long seam of ingrown bark in the center of the board, but either ends could yield nice wide pieces for panels, and a narrower piece could come from the area adjacent to the ingrown bark. This set is mostly white wood with just a little heart. Piece 4 has a couple of knots. Reductions have been given for the defects. Overall, this is a very nicely figured soft maple set with some defects which would have to be worked around.
